The School
Our partner school, Stanislas, is a semi-private Catholic high school with the « collège » and « lycée » on the same site (approximately 700 students in total).
Although it is a Catholic school it welcomes students from all religions and backgrounds. The school demands high academic standards and all pupils must conform to a strict code of conduct.
Like in most French high schools there is no school uniform. However, pupils are required to conform to the school's dress code.
The programme
You can join the programme at any time of year for a minimum of 1 month and a maximum of 1 school year (about 10 months).
You must be aged between 12 and 15 years.
In France students normally start school at 8am and finish at about 5pm. School runs all day on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and on Wednesday mornings.
High schools are separated into « collège » and « lycée ». The « collège » is for 11 to 14 year olds and the « lycée » for 15 to 18 year olds.
