Why Saint-Raphaël?

Saint-Raphaël is a beautiful seaside town located just 40 minutes from Nice, half-way between Cannes and Saint-Tropez, on the stunning French Riviera. It’s a safe and friendly town of around 40,000 inhabitants and is the perfect place for international teenagers who want to experience the French lifestyle and learn the language.

There is so much to do here that it’s impossible to get bored! With both the sea and the mountains on the doorstep you can take part in the water sports programmes available such as windsurfing, sailing, snorkeling, scuba-diving and kayaking. You can go mountain-biking or climbing in the Esterel hills, play golf, play tennis or simply just enjoy sunbathing and swimming at the beach. There’s also an olympic-sized swimming pool and sports centre in the town.

Needless to say that Saint-Raphaël enjoys the perfect Mediterranean climate! It’s nearly always sunny and it’s warm enough for the beach most of the year. The town is also the perfect base for exploring the rest of the Riviera. Saint-Tropez, Nice, Cannes, Antibes, Monaco and even Italy are possible day trips and in winter you can go skiing or snowboarding in the Alps.
